State scholarship information:

On this page are the highlights of the scholarships that are  available to SC students who attend SC colleges approved by the  Commission on Higher Education (CHE).

*PSAT TESTING INFO *

 *COST: The PSAT/NMSQT cost is estimated to be $15.00

There is no funding for the PSAT test, so you will need to pay for the  PSAT testing yourself. The state will provide a bumper sticker and will  send to the colleges the names of students who get parent permission  that qualify this year. 

*SCHEDULING:*

 Contact the principal or counselor at a local public or independent high  school to make arrangements to take the PSAT/NMSQT at their school. Be  sure to do so well in advance of the mid-October test dates. 

*TESTING CODE:*

 This code will identify you as a homeschooled student which will ensure  your scores are properly recorded and credited to the homeschool  community.

 Insert on your answer sheet under “school code”. 

*RESULTS:*

 As a homeschooler, your PSAT/NMSQT score report can be accessed online. 

PSAT/NMSQT

 Who: 11th- and 10th-graders
Where: At schools
When: Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016. Other options are Saturday, Oct.15 and Wednesday, Nov. 2. (view PSAT/NMSQT calendar) 

 Scholarships: Used by scholarship programs, including the National Merit Scholarship Program, to look for eligible students.

 Check your local library for FREE RESOURCES like Brainfuse that offers  FREE PRACTICE TESTS for SAT & ACT. Don’t forget they also offer FREE  live tutoring 24/7. An excellent resource for all homeschoolers.
